Dorothy Cochrane Inducted into Hall of Fame -

United States Amateur Confederation of Roller Skating Amateur Athlete Hall of Fame.  Dorothy Cochrane Levittown, New York Inducted 2007.  Enjoyed a distinguished career as an artistic skater in the USARSA beginning in 1957 with National Gold Medals in Tiny Tots Singles all the way up to a Senior Ladies Singles Gold Medal in 1969.  In the interim she won nine Gold Medals in USARSA Nationals, three Silver and two Bronze Medals in the various age groups as she progressed through the competitions.  She retired from competitive skating in 1970.  She was a member of the USA World Team in 1966 in Essen, Germany, during which she suffered a broken ankle and continued to compete without telling anyone of the injury.  She has been described as "an all around skater and team player" who in addition to her figure skating also competed in speed skating.
